Joel Smith from Northeastern has been selected for StatSheet's CAA Player of the Week for February 11th. StatSheet's CAA Freshman of the Week goes to David Walker from Northeastern.

Smith led all of the CAA in scoring (23.0 pts per game). He also put up a strong showing in rebounding (5 per game), shooting (60%), and three pointers (3.5 per game). The Northeastern senior played well for the Huskies in wins against Hofstra and Old Dominion.

Smith led scoring for the Huskies with 19 points on 53% shooting in a close 62-57 win against Hofstra. That was followed by a team-leading 27 points on 60% shooting in a narrow 79-74 victory against Old Dominion.

This is the second time this season that Joel Smith has been selected StatSheet CAA Player of the Week. He has also been a runner-up once. The runner-up this week is Northeastern senior Jonathan Lee. Honorable mention goes to sophomore Quincy Ford from Northeastern. The highest ranking player from Old Dominion was Dimitri Batten who finished 16th.

StatSheet CAA Freshman of the Week: Northeastern's David Walker

David Walker averaged 39 minutes as a starter for Northeastern. In the win over Hofstra, Walker contributed 7 points and 3 assists. Then in the win against Old Dominion, he dialed up 4 assists and 75% shooting.

This is the second time for David Walker, who won the StatSheet CAA Freshman of the Week earlier this season. R.J. Hunter from Georgia State gets runner-up. Charles Cooke from James Madison receives honorable mention. Keenan Palmore was the highest ranking freshman from Old Dominion and finished 4th. Old Dominion has yet to win the StatSheet CAA Player of the Week award this season.
